    • Financial assistance for pets with life-threatening illness or injury.
    • Grants given are intended only to cover a portion of the total cost of services.
    • Special funding may be made available to support the care of certified working dogs as well as rehabilitation of sick or injured wildlife.

    • Pet must have a good prognosis for long-term recovery with a single intervention.
    • Families must demonstrate substantial financial need.
    • Pets must have a good prognosis for return to a good quality of life with treatment.
    • Grants are for treatment only.
    • Applicants must reside in:
      • Florida
      • Georgia
      • Kansas
      • Kentucky
      • Minnesota
      • Missouri
      • New York
      • Washington

    • No assistance for primary care, such as ear infections, dental cleanings, spay/neuter, vaccines, and preventive care.
    • No assistance for treatment of chronic diseases or medications to support lifelong ailments.
    • No assistance for applicants who do not reside in the states listed in the “Qualifications” column.
    • No grants given for initial examinations, diagnostic testing, primary care or preventative care.

    One-time financial grant for family-owned pets for non-basic, non-urgent care, such as cancer treatment, heart dz, and chronic conditions.


    • Assistance for dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, potbellied pigs, and pocket pets such as guinea pigs, etc.
    • Prognosis for pet must be 50% survival rate for at least 6 months.
    • One-time grants may be offered for ongoing medical needs, if applicant can provide proof that s/he will continue to be personally responsible for continued costs.
    • Applicants must be able to provide base care for pet.
    • Applicants must have a source of income. This can include government aide.
    • Applicants must call number above before applying, or applications will not be processed.
    • Proof of income required.
    • A diagnosis and written estimate must be in place before applying.

    • No assistance for emergency care.
    • No assistance for declawing, ear cropping, or debarking surgeries.
    • Grants are limited to $500 per applicant. (This is a maximum amount, and may be less.)
    • No assistance for farm animals, breeder-owned animals, or animals used for research or commercial purposes of any kind.
    • No assistance for euthanasia.

    • One-time grant for low-income families whose pet has a life-threatening injury or illness that requires urgent and specific attention.
    • Typical grant is $100 – $200.
    • Grants are given for only one pet per family that is in need of urgent medical care.
    • Works with a variety of animals, including (but not limited to): dogs, cats, horses, birds, rabbits and guinea pigs.
    • On-line application only
    • Assistance may be granted if pet had treatment done on, or after, the day an application is submitted.

    • Family must have a diagnosis and treatment plan for pet before applying.
    • Prognosis with treatment must be good or favorable.
    • Families must provide proof of income.
    • Pets must already be spayed or neutered to qualify, or applicant must have solid plan for doing so.
    • Grants given to help domestic abuse victims and their pets escape the abusive situation together. Will help pay for boarding.
    • Assistance available to U.S. residents only.

    • No assistance for exams or diagnostic work.
    • No assistance granted for existing balances
    • No spay/neuter assistance
    • No assistance for ongoing conditions or treatments (like diabetes or chemotherapy).
