    In-Home Delivery recipients: 

    • Applicants must show documentation of senior status, disability, or chronic illness.

    • Residents outside of service area are charged an additional $30.
    • Free spay/neuter, and microchipping for pit bulls, pit bull mixes, Chihuahuas, Chihuahua mixes that are 15 pounds or less belonging to families who reside within the service area.

    Services are for PALS’ clients only.

    We don’t:

    • Provide services for someone with AIDS who is not a client of PALS.
    • Have a program to take animals to visit people in hospitals.
    • Help find homes for pets, except for our clients’.
    • Help people with terminal diseases other than AIDS.
    • Automatically pay vet bills for every client.
    • Find homes for litters born to a client’s companion animals.
    • Give animals to people with AIDS except as part of our adoption program.

    • Financial aid for major veterinary expenses for pets belonging to elderly and disabled residents in qualifying cities. (Pet Emergency Treament, or “PET”)
    • Financial aid for rescuers of homeless animals. (Animal Rescue Fund, or “ARF”)
    • Spay/neuter assistance for pets belonging to low-income families.
    • Spay/neuter assistance for homeless animals, including feral cats.
    • Spay/neuter assistance for rabbits and rodents.
    • Grants are capped at $200.

    • Residents of Redwood City, East Palo Alto, East Menlo Park, Mountain View and Palo Alto only.
    • Applicant must show proof of having applied for Care Credit.

    • Spay/neuter assistance for cats, dogs and rabbits belong to residents of Orange County, CA.
    • Two spay/neuter vouchers per person per month.
    • Feral cat assistance. (TNR)
    • Temporary housing for pets belonging to victims of domestic violence. (Animal Safe House)
    • Free pet food for qualified applicants, including homeless pet owners.  (No Empty Bowls)

    • Orange County, CA residents only.
    • Assistance for low-income families only.
    • Family-owned pets only.
    • Applicant must submit estimate of costs from veterinary hospital.
    • Applicant must show proof that other animal welfare organizations have been contacted for assistance.

    • Rescues and people associated with rescues do not qualify for services or aid.
    • Two spay/neuter vouchers per person per month.
    • Spay/neuter vouchers do not cover vaccinations, flea control, pain medication, etc.
    • No assistance for existing balances at veterinary hospitals.
    • No reimbursements for veterinary bills already paid.
    • No more than one grant per family per year.
